Geoff Hughes was a a popular, inspirational and enthusiastic school music teacher in Melbourne during the 1950s–1980s. He was a passionate educator, recorder enthusiast and a friend and associate of Australian recorder playing jazz musician Ade Monsbourgh and recorder maker Fred Morgan.
